Valentine’s Day is just about here, but it’s not too late to create something fun.
Are you looking to make something quick and easy for Valentine’s Day to spruce up your home?
Have I got a project for you!
To make this Rose Heart Art you will need a wooden frame with chicken wire, some pink and white paint, hot glue and faux roses.
I found the frame already assembled at Michael’s for under $10, but you could also staple chicken wire to a frame you already have.
With a little white paint I changed the color of the chicken wire background so that the roses would stand out.
Next paint the frame pink and lightly add white paint with a fairly dry brush, for a rustic look.
Once you have your frame looking the way you want, it time for the blooms.
Using faux flowers (I bought these as bouquets in the bridal section of Michael’s) I cut the blooms off at the head and attached them with hot glue.
Simply put hot glue on the bottom side of the flower and adhere it to the chicken wire.
I found it helpful to build from the center out until I started to get the heart shape I wanted.
Bunch them pretty close together so that the chicken wire is not visible.
In the end you should end up with a beautiful heart to hang on your wall for Valentine’s Day.
