Lucky Charms
With St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner we thought these boxes of Lucky Charms were the perfect Throwback Thursday tribute.
Remember Lucky from back in the day?
He has undergone some changes over the years (haven’t we all), but it is fun to remember him the way he started out.
To honor him in our own way, we made him into a sweet treat.
As far as I know, there is no cookie cutter for this cute guy, so we did what we have done before…
Cut him out by hand.
Easy enough. We just place parchment over the image on the box and traced him with a marker.
Then placing the traced image onto our dough we carefully cut around the shape and presto… Lucky is a cookie!
Once baked, the fun began.
We used a “Kopykake” projector to then ice our image onto the baked cookie.
Hopefully, this brings back some happy memories to many of you.
There are five different throwback boxes available for a limited time, so be sure to look for them all.
Buzz the Bee… Sunny the Cuckkoo Bird…Wendell the Baker…Cheerios Kid and of course Lucky the Leprechaun.
Whoever your favorite is…have fun taking a look back at where they began.
But for St. Patrick’s day, Lucky is the man.
One of my favorite things was to pick out all the marshmallows.
My favorite was always the rainbow.
What was yours?
Thank you General Mills for the walk down memory lane.
